Friends of the School
We are a group of parents and carers who raise money for the school through arranging fun activities for the children. Examples of typical fundraising activities include movie night, bedtime stories, school discos, family BBQs, raffles, fairs, break the rules day just to name a few! We always try to find a balance of raising money whilst also making it fun for the children.
We are a registered charity with the Charity Commission and have 5 trustees who are voted in at the Annual General Meeting in January each year. Each year the money we raise funds annual subscriptions to online resources for all the children (such as globes and atlases), new indoor and outdoor classroom resources as well as treats for the children e.g. an end of year ice cream van and Christmas treats.
We hold regular meetings to plan events and provide an opportunity for parents and carers to get together socially. Everyone is welcome! These dates are advertised through the school and Friends of the School (FoS) newsletters and the WhatsApp group.
